Item Management
Section titled “Item Management”Creating Items
Section titled “Creating Items”Items can include the following information:

Editing Items
Section titled “Editing Items”- Navigate to the item detail page
- Click Edit
- Modify any fields
- Click Save
Deleting Items
Section titled “Deleting Items”Warning: Permanent Action Deleting an item is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Navigate to the item detail page
- Click Delete
- Confirm the deletion
Categories
Section titled “Categories”Color Coding
Section titled “Color Coding”Each category has a color that appears as a badge on items:
- Helps visually identify item types at a glance
- Colors are customizable
- Choose from a preset palette or enter custom hex colors
Managing Categories
Section titled “Managing Categories”- Create - Add new categories with name and color
- Edit - Change category name or color
- Delete - Remove category (items will be uncategorized)
Locations
Section titled “Locations”Organizing by Location
Section titled “Organizing by Location”Locations help you find items physically:
- Create hierarchical locations (e.g., “Garage > Shelf A”)
- Add descriptions for additional context
- View all items in a location
Location Details
Section titled “Location Details”| Field | Description |

QR Codes
Section titled “QR Codes”Generating QR Codes
Section titled “Generating QR Codes”Each item can have a QR code generated:
- Open item detail page
- Click QR Code button
- View, download, or print the QR code
Using QR Codes
Section titled “Using QR Codes”- Print and attach to physical items or shelves
- Scan with any QR code reader
- Links directly to the item detail page
Barcode Scanning
Section titled “Barcode Scanning”Camera Scanning
Section titled “Camera Scanning”Use your device’s camera to scan barcodes:
- Click Scan button on the items page
- Allow camera access
- Point camera at barcode
- System automatically detects and searches

Image Uploads
Section titled “Image Uploads”Adding Images
Section titled “Adding Images”Items can have multiple images:
- Edit an item
- Click Add Image or drag & drop
- Images are uploaded automatically

File Size
Section titled “File Size”Default maximum: 5MB per image (configurable)
Low Stock Alerts
Section titled “Low Stock Alerts”Setting Up Alerts
Section titled “Setting Up Alerts”- Set Min Quantity on an item
- When quantity drops to or below this value, it appears in alerts
Viewing Alerts
Section titled “Viewing Alerts”- Dashboard shows low stock items count
- Click to see all low stock items
- Filter items list by low stock status
Export & Import
Section titled “Export & Import”Exporting Data
Section titled “Exporting Data”Export your inventory for backup or analysis:

Importing Data
